Move Out Cleaning Services in Seattle, Washington
A clear, simple way to leave your home truly clean before you move
With the amount of work involved in every phase of a move — packing, transportation, and unpacking — cleaning the house at the end of the move is usually the last thing you want to do. Move-out cleaning is a thorough top-down cleaning of your home after everything has been removed — so you're not attempting to clean around furniture or boxes. At maria's green cleaning, we concentrate on the type of cleaning that really counts when you are leaving an area — grease build up in Kitchen — soap scum in bathrooms — dust on surfaces that never receive any attention during normal cleaning.
If you are renting an apartment, selling a home, or simply want to leave the space in a good condition for the next individual, then this is an excellent choice.
When Move Out Cleaning Actually Makes Sense
You’ll likely need this if…
You've lived in the home for some time now and grease buildup exists on the cabinets, stove tops, or walls in your Kitchen.
Your bathroom has clearly visible soap scum, hard water stains, or grimy buildup on tile and fixtures.
You are moving and you'd prefer to avoid complaints from your landlord or future owner(s) regarding cleanliness.
You've gone too long without a deep clean and now things seem dirty harder to clean than ever.
You're concerned about getting your security deposit returned and you wouldn't want to risk losing money due to missed spots.
All of your belongings have been removed from your home and you can finally see all of the areas that require serious attention.
You'd like the home to "feel" reset and properly cleaned prior to passing the keys to the new occupants.
If your home is relatively clean and just requires minimal maintenance; then you could possibly opt for a standard Residential cleaning.
What We Actually Clean
Real cleaning tasks, not just surface wiping
We will focus on the areas that are generally neglected or require the most elbow grease:
Kitchen
Remove grease buildup from stove tops, back splashes, cabinet fronts.
Clean inside oven (where food spills & burnt residue collect).
Wipe down refrigerator (shelves & drawers).
Scrub sinks where hard water deposits and other substances build up over time.
Bathrooms
Soap scum removal from shower walls, tubs & glass doors.
Clean grout lines where dirt & mildew settle over time.
Remove deposits from faucets, drains & toilet bases.
Living Room/Bedroom
Wipe base boards where dust & scratches accumulate.
Clean window sills & edges which are generally ignored.
Dust corners, vents & trim throughout the home.
Whole Home
Mop floors after everything has been removed.
Spot-clean walls with visible marks/stains.
This is not a quick clean — this is a type of work that usually doesn’t have enough hours available during a move.
What We Don’t Do
Being upfront so there are no surprises
Here’s what isn’t included:
Heavy furniture/appliance moving.
Permanent stain removal (carpet damage, wall damage etc).
Repairs/painting/maintenance work.
Areas that are unsafe or inaccessible.
If something needs repaired rather than cleaned — we’ll be honest about that too.
How Move Out Cleaning Compares to Other Services
So you can choose what actually fits your situation
Move out cleaning vs. Routine house cleaning
Routine residential cleaning is for maintenance purposes (keeping your Kitchen, bathroom, floors etc., tidy from week to week).
Move out cleaning is more detailed and focused on building up that happens over time.
Move out cleaning vs. Move-in cleaning
Move-out cleaning is done when leaving a space.
move-in cleaning is used when you're going into a new living space and want it cleaned prior to moving in.
Move out cleaning vs. Recurring cleaning
If you intend to keep your next home consistently clean and prevent future build-up, recurring cleaning helps maintain that.
If you currently have a very clean home and simply need minor touch-ups — then you probably won’t need a full move-out cleaning.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to common Move Out Cleaning concerns
Q1. How long will my move-out cleaning take?
Time frames vary greatly based on the size and condition of your home. An average apartment that has received regular maintenance might take a couple hours whereas a larger home with grease buildup in the Kitchen and/or soap scum buildup in the baths might take most of the day. We will provide you with an estimated time frame prior to commencing work.
Q2. Must i remain at my residence while being cleaned?
No, you don’t have to stay at your residence. Many of our Clients are either busy moving themselves out or are already relocated. As long as we can enter and exit your home freely we will complete your cleaning job for you and inform you once finished.
Q3. May i have items remaining within my residence prior to the move-out cleaning?
Ideally yes. Move-out cleaning works much better when all furniture and personal belongings have already been removed. This enables us to clean areas such as baseboards, corners and inside appliances free of obstruction.
Q4. Will you bring your own supplies?
Yes — we bring all of the necessary cleaning equipment and environmentally safe cleaning solutions. There is no reason for you to prepare anything — we arrive prepared to clean.
Q5. Can you guarantee i will receive my entire deposit back?
Unfortunately no — we cannot make guarantees regarding deposits because ultimately this decision lies within the hands of your landlord or property manager. However we focus on the areas they normally inspect (Kitchen/baths/build-up) to give you the best possible opportunity to recover all monies owed to you.
